Castello di Verduno Basadone
Castelllo di Verduno is an historic property who is lucky to have vineyards in Barolo and Barbaresco and produces exquisite wines of great refinement, finesse and, at the same time, very classic. The work of Castello di Verduno is exemplary, practicing organic farming in the vineyards and carrying traditional vinification methods in the winery. This Pelaverga is a light and elegant expression of the Langhe. Hand-harvested in the first weeks of September, from four different parcels planted from 1972-2001 in vineyards in the Massara and Olmo crus in the commune of Verduno. Fermented in stainless steel for about ten days with periodic punching down of the cap. Aged for nine months in stainless steel followed by three months in the bottle before release.
