Koehler-Ruprecht Spätburgunder Kabinett Trocken

Founded in the 1700s, Koehler-Ruprecht stands among one of the oldest, most distinctive wineries in the Palatinate region and has attained international recognition by producing traditional wines of outstanding quality.

Located in the town of Kallstadt, Koehler Ruprecht cultivates 12.5 hectares of vineyards such as the historic Saumagen site, along other coveted vineyards such as Steinacker and Annaberg. From this sites Koehler Ruprecht masters unhurried vinifications that allows them to create wonderfully elegant wines of refined textures and great depth.

This Pinot Noir is a delightful example of a traditional Pfalz Spätburgunder, destemmed, fermented in open vat and aged in large old German casks. A wine offering immediate pleasure, medium in body, suggesting ripe cherries, floral notes, leafy notes, and forest spices. A wine of charming juiciness, fine grained tannins and refreshing acidity. An irresistible and delicious Pinot Noir!
