Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy

Nathalie Vigot

Wines

Nathalie Vigot is a viticultrice from Vosne-Romanée and the smallest farmer from our portfolio, and as far we know, may be the smallest domaine in Burgundy since her holdings does not even sum a whole hectare.

Seft-educated, Nathalie created her Domaine in 1998 producing just
Hautes-Côtes de Nuits at the time. In 1999 she added a plot for Bourgogne
Grand Ordinaire appellation. In 2004 she had access of her family Vosne-Romanée and Vosné-Romanée 1er cru Les Petits Monts. The work in the vineyard is organic yet not certified, she does not use any chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides.

The work in the cellar is driven by a low intervention approach, all the wines are move by gravity. There is no destemmed here, 100% whole bunch fermentations (carried spontaneously) and very gentle punch downs during fermentation to infuse and extract very little color and vinification
normally last around 15 to 20 days here. Wines are then aged in used oak for about 18 months. No finning and no filtration.

These are truly vin de garage (in Vosne-Romanée!), the wines are vinified underneath Nathalie´s home in Vosne-Romanée and her production moves around the 3000 bottles per vintage. The average age of the vines
here moves in the range of 60 to 70 years old.

Nahalie Vigot parcellaire is divided as:

Bougogne Grand Ordinaire 0.17 ha.

Bourgogne 0.10 ha

Vosne-Romanée 0.16 ha

Vosne-Romanée 1cru Les Petits Monts 0.18 ha.

Nathalie´s wines carry her softspoken and gentle manners, these are wines of great delicacy and gentleness. Fresh and delicate Pinot Noir full of soul and the Vosne-Romanée elegance. A unique Domaine in Burgundy producing minuscule quantities of wine worth to be enjoyed.
