Scala Cirò Rosso

Scala Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore is a red wine made by the Scala winery using the Gaglioppo variety in the DOC Cirò, Calabria (Italy).

The Scala estate, dating back to the seventeenth century, became a family winery in 1949, producing refined wines in the Cirò denomination. They focus on native vines and respectful winemaking that preserves the essence of the region.

The wine comes from 30-year-old vines planted 200 meters above sea level on clay and calcareous soils. Cultivated using sustainable practices, the harvest is done manually at peak ripeness.

In the winery, the grapes are gently pressed, and the must macerates with the skins for 15 days. Fermentation is controlled, and aging takes place in concrete tanks for 24-36 months.

Scala Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore is an aromatic wine with the distinctive character of the Gaglioppo variety.
