You haven’t missed that the legendary masters of Riesling, Koehler-Ruprecht, also has a fantastic talent for Pinot Noir have you? This wine is an absolut delight. Bright red fruit, a forest floor element, saline limestone, spicy, perfumed, a bit of blood orange zest. Delicious. Will be released tomorrow at das monopol.

Established in the 1700’s @koehlerruprecht has stayed true to their very old school way of making wine, but this Pinot is plenty playful too. Pest- and herbicide free, no additives apart from SO2 and a very sensible approach in general. This Spätburgunder comes from two villages in Pfalz: Kallstadt and Bad Dürkheim. Once at the winery it is destemmed, fermented and aged in old oak vats (stückfass).

Don’t miss out on the red side of Germany and the diversity it offers. And remember, rast ich so rost ich!

Absolutely monumental white wine from Dominio del Águila in Ribera del Duero. 100+ year old vines, meticulous oak handling, terroir-driven. Jorge Monzón and Isabel Rodero deserve all the praise they are receiving for their tremendous work and their “museum of vines”.

Jorge and Isabel are no longer an emerging star but rather a full-blown sun of Ribera del Duero. They are crafting truly spectacular wines in a class by themselves. The dedication to their land is awe inspiring and they deserve the greatest of praise for the work they put down to save the regions historic terroir.

This power duo are redefining how the wines of Ribera del Duero are viewed, both reds and whites, and of course, Clarete!

Säsongen för magiska släpp från Domino del Águila, Ribera del Duero, är kommen.

I dagens, 19/1, webbsläpp får vi dels ta del av Jorge och Isabel’s selektion och buteljeringar av deras äldsta rankor, Peñas Aladas och Canta la Perdiz – som är det mest extrema och extraordinära uttrycket av deras vingårdar. Men vi får även ta del av den unika möjligheten att lägga händerna på magnumflaskor av deras olika cuvéer. Första gången i Sverige!

Missa inte chansen att ta del av dessa rara flaskor då volymen är begränsad.

Domino del Águila är enligt oss den mest fascinerade producenten i regionen idag – och står för ett helt unikt uttryck av den.

David Sampedro Gil gästar Sverige.

Det har nog inte undgått någon att Spanien som vinland befinner sig mitt i en pågående renässans. Historiska Rioja är inget undantag. För att vara en region med så starka vintraditioner har Rioja i vår tid visat sig vara otroligt dynamiskt och vi ser en ny generation stjärnvinmakare på framfart. En av dessa är utan tvekan David. På hög höjd i Rioja Alavesa ligger fokus på ärliga, handgjorda viner där växtplatsen, terroir, är den enskilt viktigaste faktorn. Resultatet är enastående och idag producerar Bodegas Bhilar några av regionens mest fascinerande viner.

Jean Marc-Burgaud belongs to the group of producers that form the benchmark of the appellation. A reference point and a respected figure among his peers. A source of top notch, classic cut, wines from Morgon.

Jean-Marc is a well-seasoned grower who began his journey as vigneron in 1989. He organically farms 17.5 ha, Gobelet trained, 60 year old, vines in Morgon, Lantignié and Regnié. All work is done by hand.
Vinification here is as classic as it gets: spontaneous whole bunch fermentation, semi-carbonic maceration, in cement vats, ageing also takes place here. Zero SO2 until the end of mlf.

In the heart of the most celebrated of the crus Jean-Marc is making a truly impressive range of wines expressing the terroir magnificently.

Wines only available for trade.

🌞New vintage🇪🇸

2021 vinos blancos from The Blanco Brothers at Callejuela are here and they are magnificent.

It’s all about terroir here. Despite being in the Sherry region these are white still, unfortified wines. They are made identical to one another, the most important factor setting them a part is the vineyard, or ‘pago’ rather is the correct term.

Made of 100 % Palomino Fino from single pagos in order to showcase their unique properties and expressions of different kinds of albariza.

Pepe and Paco are first and foremost growers, only their own fruit ends up in the winery. Once in the cellar the Palomino is treated gently, fermented and aged 6-9 months in old 650 liter “bocoy” and Manzanilla barrels with a touch of flor, a touch of oxidation and lees ageing.

Your thoughts rush in one part to Jura and another to top quality vinous champagne.

2000 bottles produced of each wine.

2021 Bodegas Fulcro Rías Baixas ‘A Pedreira’ Albariño

It all started in their family garage winery in Vilallonga, near Sanxenxo. Here Manuel Moldes and his father made wine for family consumption with great passion. Fast forward a few years and Manuel had left his job at the bank to focus full-time on wine. Today Manuel, or Chicho as he is called, is a full-fledged grower and wine maker. Many years and trials, and a little guidance of good friend Rodri Mendez, has put Bodegas Fulcro in the top of Val do Salnés and Rías Baixas.

The wine takes its name from the famous single vineyard it is grown in. The quartz-rich granite soils here have been untouched for the past 8 years rendering a mouth-watering salinity. The wine is spontaneously fermented and ageing takes place on old oak and inox, 50/50.

This is an energetic wine with a great drive of acidity and salty, oceanic, minerals. It as all balanced very finely with citrus and exotic fruit together with a gentle texture that fills the mouth.
